Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information SkyAudit collects through this website, why, and what rights you have over it, in line with South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

This policy covers this marketing website only. If you're a SkyAudit customer, how your organisation's operational data (flight logs, pilot records, maintenance history) is handled inside the app is governed separately, under your subscription agreement and a data processing agreement — not this page. In POPIA terms, for that in-app data your organisation is the "responsible party" and SkyAudit acts as an "operator" on your instruction.

1. Who we are

Sky Audit (Pty) Ltd (registration no. 2026/629529/07) ("Sky Audit", "we", "us", "our") is the responsible party for the personal information described in this policy.

2. What we collect

Through the "Book a demo" form, we collect: your name, work email address, company/ROC name, fleet size, and anything you write in the message field. We don't collect anything beyond what's needed to respond to your enquiry — no hidden fields, no data bought from third parties.

3. How we use it

We use this information only to respond to your enquiry, arrange and run a demo, and follow up about SkyAudit. We do not sell, rent or trade your information to anyone.

4. Cookies

See our Cookie Policy for what we store in your browser. In short: essential cookies always, and Google Analytics only if you accept it on the cookie banner.

5. Who we share it with

This site is hosted on Firebase (Google Cloud), which serves the site's files to your browser. If you accept analytics on the cookie banner, Google Analytics also processes your visit data — see our Cookie Policy for what that covers and how to opt out. We use email delivery tools to respond to enquiries. These providers only process information on our instruction. Where a provider stores data outside South Africa, we take reasonable steps to ensure it's protected to a standard consistent with POPIA.

6. How long we keep it

We keep demo request information for as long as reasonably needed to respond to you and maintain a record of business enquiries, and delete or anonymise it after that unless you become a customer, in which case it's retained per our customer agreement.

7. Your rights under POPIA

You have the right to: ask what personal information we hold about you; ask us to correct or delete it; object to how we use it; and lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator if you believe we've handled your information unlawfully.

8. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information against loss, unauthorised access, and misuse. No system is 100% secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.

9. Children

This website is intended for business use by adults working in commercial drone operations. We don't knowingly collect information from children.

10. Changes to this policy

We'll update this page if how we handle your information changes, and update the "last updated" date above.
